Cyclone Idai: Doctors Deployed To Manicaland – Doug Coltart

According to a lawyer and human rights activist, Doug Coltart, Dr Lindiwe Ncube has been flown to Manicaland to offer her services. Other doctors from the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) were being driven to the province in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Idai. Writing on Twitter, Coltart said:

Dr @Lindelwe_Ncube is being flown down this morning on a private helicopter provided by a concerned citizen for the #CycloneIdai relief efforts. More doctors from @ZHDAofficial are being driven down with emergency medical supplies. The response by citizens has been incredible!

2 yrs ago, ONE Church took in medical students who’d been illegally evicted by UZ for protesting against fee hikes. Now qualified doctors, the group noticed ONE Church calling for help with the #CycloneIdai relief. Today, Dr Ncube came to our service to pledge their support!
