Norton Member of Parliament, Temba Mliswa (Independent), has reiterated his support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Writing on Twitter, Mliswa said:
I support @edmnangagwa because I believe in him and his leadership, it doesn’t make me ZANUPF and it’s a stance I’ve had from a while back. Those familiar with 2004 and those behind @edmnangagwa will remember this clearly. The majority of people in Zimbabwe don’t support parties.
As an Independent, I’m able to represent the majority of people who don’t belong to political parties. This is reflective of the many concerns I’m inundated with from people for me to present in Parliament. Gagging me gags the voice of the majority, let the people’s voices be heard.
