FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says that his team is not concerned with people from outside the club’s perceptions as they have their own targets in the Total CAF Champions League.
FC Platinum is set to play South African side Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Friday night (9 pm Zimbabwean time).
Speaking before the club’s penultimate group B match in the 2019 CAF Champions League, Mapeza said:
We don’t need to explain anything to anyone because we know our situation. We have our targets which are on course. This is our first time in the mini-league and for us, and it’s about the experience.
There is no pressure for me because I am the one who brought this team to this level. So there is no pressure. We are just taking each game as it comes and to have our players gain the experience.
FC Platinum remains the only club in the group without a win. They haven’t scored a single goal either.
They have only one point which came in the goalless draw against Pirates at home in January.
