Govt To Offer Loans To Looted Businesses In Bulawayo - Minister Ndlovu

The government will this Friday convene a meeting to come up with modalities on how to disburse funds for businesses that were looted by protestors during ShutDownZim.

This was revealed by the Minister for Industry and Commerce Mangaliso Ndlovu. He said:

This is still pending; details will be finalised by the end of the week. A breakfast meeting where the relief loans will be the main topic of discussion is going to be held at the ZITF on Friday (tomorrow).

Funding will only be made available for those individuals that made their submissions during the assessments by the inter-ministerial committee. They are the ones we believe present a genuine picture. It is likely that some might just want to benefit upon realising that there are funds available.

Most of the looted shops in Bulawayo are located un the western suburbs.
