ZHRC Executive Secretary Makonese Resigns

Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) Executive Secretary Manatsa Makonese has resigned.

Makonese resigned from the Commission on February 28 to pursue other interests. In a Twitter post published on Friday, the ZHRC said:

In one of the sad chapters in the history of ZHRC, Executive Secretary Dr Makanatsa Makonese resigned from the Commission with effect from 28 February 2019 to pursue other interests. Dr Makonese joined ZHRC on 1 January 2017. The ZHRC wishes her well in her future endeavours.
