Richard Tsvangirayi, the son of the founding president of the Movement for Democratic Change, Morgan Tsvangirai has lambasted the government for introducing a new currency without addressing the fundamentals.
Tsvangirayi said that the government should stop the killing and raping people by security forces and restoring the rule of law for sanctions to be removed. He said:
You enjoy building houses on flawed foundations right? Introduced a new currency without addressing the fundamentals, sanctions should be lifted without addressing the fundamentals. To end sanctions stop killing and raping people; restore the rule of law.
Tsvangirayi was responding to a social media user who had accused the late Morgan Tsvangirai of propagating the sanctions.
