Mapeza's Job Safe After Reaching CAF Champions League Group Stage

FC Platinum have expressed satisfaction with the way the team performed in the 2019 Total Confederation of African Football Champions League campaign.

Pure Platinum Play has failed to score a single goal, let alone win a match.

The club hierarchy has however indicated that there are no plans to sack coach Norman Mapeza.

Team spokesperson Chido Chizondo said:

[Mapeza’s job is] Very safe. I think this (rumour) happens every year.

It is good to win matches, however, our target, if you remember, was to reach the group stages, which we did.

We will push to ensure positive results in the coming fixtures. We have learnt many lessons in the Champions League.

FC platinum will visit South Africa giants, Orlando Pirates on March 8, and has a 9pm kick-off.
