Mliswa Disappointed Over 'Corruption At Mines Ministry'

Member of Parliament for Norton Constituency, Temba Mliswa (Independent) says that Mines MinisterWinston  Chitando is a huge disappointment. Writing on social media on Friday, Mliswa said:

Hiding behind the name of ED Mnangagwa to do things or get away with things must end! Personally, I’ve been very disappointed by the new Mines Minister who I thought with his professional background would do wonders. However, it appears we’re worse off.

Equally the new Permanent Secretary doesn’t compare with Munodawafa’s meticulous professionalism. The Permanent Secretary is the driving force and if I had my way I’d appoint Tongai Muzenda as the Mines Permanent Secretary rather than General Manager of MMCZ as the mining sector is one of the biggest GDP contributors.

How does the mining sector contribute effectively with all the corruption allegations dogging the sector and the Minister and with a Permanent Secretary who has their powers usurped by Directors? It’s horrific and ED Mnangagwa will see what I’m talking about in time. The result is big deals that mean zero.
