Mugabe Taught Us To Have Self-Pride - MDC-T Spokesperson

MDC-T national spokesperson Linda Masarira has hailed a “virtue” of former President Robert Mugabe who turned 95 today.

Masarira said that Mugabe taught Zimbabwe “only” one valuable thing, that is, to have self-pride as Zimbabweans. Writing on social media on Thursday afternoon, Masarira said:

The only valuable thing, I learnt from the former President Robert Mugabe is that Zimbabwean decisions must be made in Zimbabwe. He taught us to have self-pride and to decolonize the mind in our quest to decide the destiny of our country and Africa.

It’s up to us, to correct his wrongs and not to make the same mistakes of creating demigods when we support leaders. Leaders or Presidents of political parties should be servants to those they lead. Followers should learn to hold leaders to account and stop hero worshipping leaders

He passionately imparted anti-imperialist consciousness and tried to liberate the Africans mindset from mental colonization.
He had a good dream of having an African Revolution led by Africans and funded by Africans to benefit Africans which he, unfortunately, failed to fulfil.

It is now up to us to determine the destiny of Africa. All African Governments copied and pasted constitutions and I am yet to see any African country that actually wrote an original constitution which incorporates African Culture, Tradition and Value influenced laws or policies.
