Zimbabweans Want These People Added On EU Sanctions List

In a response to veteran journalist Mduduzi Mathuthu’s tweet Zimbabweans have suggested names of individuals they want to be added on the European Union (EU) travel ban and asset freeze list.

The EU is set to review sanctions on Zimbabwe after extending them to February 20, 2019. Here are some of the names suggested by Zimbabweans on Twitter:

No evil surpasses that of a group of a few people who lost an election and think that they can recover what they were denied by the electorate in the ballot booth, by wishing sanctions upon those who won. Even if all the named people were to be added to the EU sanctions list, this would not translate into an abracadabra change in circumstances in the MDC Alliance that would see it suddenly becoming the winner of the 30 July election. This is merely a witches’ wish list.

  2. At the end those sanctions will have impact on the general Zimbabweans because the likes of Mthuli Ncube will simply fly out of the country to get medical facilities.
