The date for the late MDC founding president Morgan Tsvangirai’s memorial service has been moved forward to 4 May 2019.
The change of date was revealed by Tsvangirai’s daughter Vimbayi Tsvangirai Java. She said the service will be conducted at Humanikwa village in Buhera district. Said Tsvangirayi Java:
The Tsvangirai family advises that arrangements for the memorial service for the late Dr Tsvangirai are currently underway and will now be held on 4 May 2019, at Humanikwa Village, Buhera. Thank you to all stakeholders and friends for your patience.
Tsvangirai’s memorial service was originally set to be held on February 14 this year, marking exactly a year since the veteran politician passed away. He died on 14 February 2018 while admitted to a South African hospital after a long battle with cancer.
