Sekesai Makwavarara was arrested by the anti-corruption commission on Monday night while she was at her Rafingora farm.
She is facing charges of criminal abuse of office after allocating a US$80 million tender to Olgar Investments to construct Airport Road without taking due diligence.
She will be jointly charged with Tendai and Michael Mahachi who are already on remand on the same charges.
Makwavarara is the former deputy mayor and acting mayor of Harare. She began her work for council in 2002 for Mabvuku as a member of the Movement for Democratic Change party. Between 2003 and 2008, she was Harare City Council Commission Chair after the Local Government Minister fired the then Executive Mayor Elias Mudzuri.

Augur investment company belongs to a dodgy individual- Kenneth Sharpe together with a former minister of the local government- chombo. Sharpe is wanted by the anti corruption commission in Zimbabwe and has subsequently run away from the country and is currently in hiding in Estonia , U.K. and Ukraine. He illegally transferred millions of $$ from Zimbabwe while we are suffering here. Come back “home” you coward and face the music.
