Armed Robbers Get Away With 250kg Of Gold Ore From Haig Mine

A gang of armed robbers pounced on Haig Mine in Odzi Farm and reportedly got away with 250 kilogrammes of gold.

The daring robbers disarmed the security guards at the mine before stealing the gold ore.

Police in Manicaland confirmed the robbery and have since launched a manhunt. Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa had this to say:

We suspect that the criminals are highly trained and coordinated considering the manner in which they allegedly rounded up and disarmed five security guards who were on duty.

On February 3, 10 unknown persons arrived at Haig A Mine with a handgun, machetes and knives.

They allegedly assaulted the security guards before force-marching them into a room. They also took away their phones.
