Two Zvishavane Men Kill Woman By Throwing Her Into Abandoned Mine Shaft

Two men from Zvishavane appeared in court last week on allegations that they killed a woman and threw her body into a disused mine shaft.

The duo identified as Tatenda Ngwenya (22) and Givemore Matumba (25), both from Chief Mazvihwa, reportedly assaulted Gladys Zembeti at her house on December 21 and threw her body into an abandoned mine. Zembeti succumbed from the injuries she sustained during the ordeal.

The duo is facing murder charges and was remanded in custody to Monday (today) Zvishavane resident magistrate Archie Wochiunga.
