ZANU PF Youth Leaders Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison Each For Burning A ZUPCO Bus During Nationwide Protests

ZANU PF youth leaders who went on a rampage during the ShutDownZimbabwe protests have been sentenced to 5 years in prison each. They were brought before the courts on allegations of burning a ZUPCO bus and a Mitsubishi pick-up truck.

The convicted arsonists are Benson Bhobho, Zanu PF youth league chairperson for Ward 40 in Whitecliff together with members of his executive, Charles Bengeza, Shylock Chihuri, Emmanuel Chari, Cassim Muzhingi.

In his ruling, Harare Magistrate Elijah Makomo sentenced the ring leader of the gang, Emmanuel Chari to 7 years, while the rest were given 5 years each.

  1. Those hooligans benefited nothing from burning the bus but they are now going to spent good 5 years in jail.
