Oliver Mtukudzi Buried

Musician Oliver Mtukudzi was buried yesterday at his rural home in Madziwa, Mashonaland Central province.

He was the first musician to be declared a national hero. His burial in Madziwa was as per the wishes of his family. Mtukudzi’s burial was attended by thousands who came to respect the music icon. Politicians such as  Defence and War Veterans Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, MDC leader Nelson Chamisa and MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe were in attendance. Entertainers such as Alick Macheso, Thomas Mapfumo, Neria’s lead actress Jesesi Mungoshi and poet Albert Nyathi were in attendance.
