Makandiwa Cleared In “Fake Prophecy” Case

The High Court in Harare has dismissed 6 “Fake Prophecy” claims against Emmanuel Makandiwa and wife, Ruth Makandiwa, as “false, frivolous and vexatious.”

The leader of United Family International Church and his wife were dragged to the high court by Upenyu Mashangwa in 2017 over claims that they had falsely prophesied debt cancellation that never happened. Mashangwa and his wife Blessing also accused the Makandiwa’s encouraging them to “seed” their money, which they said they did in vain.

The lawsuit against the Makandiwas was worth $6.5 million.
