A ZimLive Reports Claims that ZANU PF renegades are plotting to recall President Emmerson Mnangagwa and replace him with one of his two Deputies Constantino Chiwenga or Kembo Mohadi.
The plot was reportedly hatched by at least 35 ZANU PF MPs who met at the party’s headquarters on Friday. War Veterans chairman Christopher Mutsvangwa is said to be part of the cabal.
The renegades are allegedly backed by Zanu PF heavyweights who were sidelined by Mnangagwa from his Cabinet, among them former Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa, Zanu PF chair Oppah Muchinguri and Obert Mpofu, the former Home Affairs Minister. A Zimlive source had this to say:
The calculation by the rebels is pre-emptive. Mnangagwa is quite clearly mortally wounded and the two Zanu PF factions know they will follow him to his political grave if they don’t act. So, what you might have, if they succeed, is a mercy killing where Mnangagwa is put out of his misery for a new leader that they hope can haul Zanu PF back from the impending precipice.
The key grievance is how he has led the party and the country since the coup in November 2017. Things have become worse, not better. Many comrades are disgruntled that he has elected to surround himself with people from his village, side-lining those who secured him the presidency.
They want to first present him with the numbers (of disaffected MPs), symbolically and urge him to resign. If he doesn’t, they will take it a step further and attempt to impeach him – but that may need the support of the MDC to go through because Mnangagwa has his own loyalists who would whittle down the Zanu PF majority.
ZANU PF has been in the throes of internecine factional fights in recent years. In 2014, the then Vice President Joyce Mujuru was booted out of the party, her successor current President Emmerson Mnangagwa suffered the same fate in November 2017, resulting in a military coup which deposed long-serving President Robert Mugabe and replaced him with Mnangagwa.

Chiwenga thinks that Zimbabwe is his personal play ground. Who wants you, presidents are supposed to be elected. You just force yourself why do you think you deserve that seat. You are playing with peoples lives and it is just not fair.
We musn’t allow that idiot Chiwenga he fucken killed the people. He supposed to retired becoz he was already resign as armycommander.
They are joking if they think chiwenga or zanu is the solution to Zimbabweans current situation , let be realistic the fact is the junta do not like the changes as it removes them from there goal of continuously looting the country none stop they don’t want reform they want things to continue on the same path unabated.
Chiwenga is THE cancer on Zim. Chiwenga is THE manifestation of evil (after Mugabe, of course). This idiot Chiwenga has ALL the ingredients to make evil:
– he is mildly retarded (yes, clinically on the spectrum)
– he is suicidal and brutal. Ask how he has personally tortured people.
– he believes the country owes him because he served and then toppled Mugabe
– he has NO moral or ethical likes – a total shitface inside and out.
Ged rid of this demon, and it will go 70% to solving the problems.
Hatred hurts the hurter and the hurting said the big-brain Antony-de-Mello in One Minute Wisdom. Do we have a solution in hand that is proven to work, or we just say on basis that we had suffered enough? Hate does not solve, but dialogue tries its best.
When there exists such an acrimonious and enormous fall out between the people and government, especially revolutionary, there is always the peaceful option of Vote of No Confidence in the Leadership and Party (ZANU PF), Calling the current President and party back and replacing either or both with a more progressive people centred and God fearing dispensation.
Do not abuse God. in your politics please. who is God fearing in Zim? Politics in churches tell us otherwise. Politicians who are pastors make you think twice about godliness so jut keep quite about GodIts the abuse of the word God to get into power , make money etc yes I agree. These are wolves try it zimbas and you will see.
