Breaking: Mnangagwa Abandoning Trip. Returning To Face Zimbabwe Crisis

Sources have said that President Mnangagwa has now decided to abandon his trip and is now coming back to Zimbabwe to deal with the Shutdown Zimbabwe crisis.

The crisis has rocked the country for a week, with 12 people reported to have died in a police and military campaign against civilians, especially in high density surbubs of Harare and Bulawayo.

Effectively, Mnangagwa is pulling out of attending the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reportedly said the pullout was on the President’s own terms.

There have been growing rumours in the past 24 hours that there are sharp divisions within Mnangagwa’s party Zanu-PF, with three key individuals mentioned; Mutsvangwa and Zimbabwe Vice President, Chiwenga and the president himself. These claims have however not been verified.

  1. So what? This response is TOO little TOO late. He should stay in Azerbaijan and invite the rest of his cabal to join him,
