The Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) on Thursday revealed that its members have so far treated 172 people, some with dog bites.
The wounded were treated at both public and private hospitals in Harare and Bulawayo. ZADHR said in a statement:
There are cases of patients who had chest trauma and fractured limbs who were forcibly taken from the hospital to attend court despite the advice of doctors.
According to the doctors, among the scores of injured people, 68 were shot, 17 of whom underwent surgery.
