Warren Park Kombis Increase Transport Fare

Transport operator Pamushana has announced that Warren Park 1 & 2 fares are now $2,50 from $1.

The operator said if spare parts prices do not increase, price shall be reviewed to $2. In a statement, Pamushana said the prices are the same across Ecocash, Swipe and cash. We publish Pamushana’s full statement below:

Good evening. Following the announcement of fuel price increases, we have been receiving a lot of enquiries through our various platforms. Customers were interested in knowing on what would be the effect on transport fares. We took a conservative approach and maintained $1 as our fare. We also would like to stress that whilst we maintained the fare, other operators had raised their fares already. During the day, we met with other operators, and service providers to come up with a position. Following the deliberations, we would like to inform our customers and stakeholders that the fares for Warren Park have been raised to $2,50. This cost will ensure that we can keep up with the fuel costs, and other operating costs which include servicing, spares, and labour. If prices for spares do not go up; we will be keeping the fare at $2.

We want to express sincere apologies to customers and other stakeholders who will be impacted by this decision. We understand the stress and pressure that people are going through as they try and cope with these economic times. We maintain our stance as an organisation which has risen from the society, and relate with the people that we shall keep monitoring any changes in the environment, so that when it becomes possible and sustainable, we will review the prices downwards. We thank you for the continued support. May God bless you.
