A notice by Redan today says it has rebased its fuel coupons to reflect the new fuel prices announced by the government yesterday. A 20 liter coupon can now only redeem 8 litres of fuel.

Redan Coupon wishes to advise Its valued customers that effect from the 13. of January 2019 all coupons have been rebased as follows.
Old Volume New Volume 200 Litres 80 Liters 20 Litres 8 Liters 10 Liters 4 Liters 5 Litres 2 Liters This has been necessitated by the new prices as announced by the government through SI 10 of 2019 on the 12th of January 2019 that resulted in Increase in fuel prices to $3.11 for Diesel and $3.31 for Blend. Duties and statutory charges increased as follows:
Old Duties New duties Increase Diesel $0.461/liter $2.11/liter $1.649/liter (358%) Blended Petrol $0.622/liter $2.482/liter $1.86/liter (293%) We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused as the Increase in price is beyond our control.
