Zimbabwe’s Chief Magistrate, Mishrod Guvamombe has been suspended today to allow an investigation into allegations of misconduct, The Herald reports. Guvamombe is accused of offering work-related attachment to prominent politicians Saviour Kasukuwere and Supa Mandiwanzira at the Harare Magistrates Court.
Kasukuwere and Mandiwanzira are law students at the University of Zimbabwe.
Guvamombe is not new to impropriety allegations. In December 2013, he was accused of systematic misuse of Victim Friendly Court (VFC) funds through double-dipping and underhand procurement processes.
