Exiled Former Minister in Mugabe’s government, Jonathan Moyo, has claimed that Strive Masiyiwa helped fund Zanu-PF and supplies for the army in the 2008 presidential run-off.
Tweeting a thread that he said was meant to expose Masiyiwa “as a bundle of falsehoods” and a long time supporter of current president Emmerson Mnangagwa, Moyo said:
19/24 That #StriveMasiyiwa did not support MDC's 2018 election campaign & that, after the stolen election he said Mnangagwa is "sincere"; testify to his longstanding support for Mnangagwa. In 2008, #Masiyiwa gave #ZanuPF USD45m to purchase grain used in the #Army-run runoff poll!

20/24 On the back of the 2008 runoff grain scheme, in 2013 Masiyiwa's #Econet joined Mbada Diamonds to give #ZanuPF some $60m to fund the organisation & conduct of the 2013 elections, outside treasury then run by @BitiTendai. Mnangagwa & Chinamasa were the instrumental hands!

The 2008 election is considered the bloodiest election in Zimbabwe’s recent history. Hundreds of MDC-T supporters were allegedly murdered by Zanu-PF supporters.
Over the past several days, there have been exchanges between Strive Masiyiwa and Jonathan Moyo of social media, with Moyo’s twitter thread being the latest.
Finally is adding up… He may not have supported Mugabe but he is in with ED and explains why there’s no competition
That is why Zanu Pf were able to get hold of indvidual telephone numbers and send them text messages during elections
Did he give ZPF the money willingly? I wonder.
Some should now take econet to court. Reputational damage at stake.
Lets wait for his responses. We are better judges, we will decide his fate better than any judges.
That explain ecocash enrichment
