FC Platinum Hopeful CAF Will Allow Them To Use Mandava Stadium For Group Matches
Zimbabwean soccer champions FC Platinum are concerned that CAF may force them to abandon Mandava stadium as a venue for the group games.
Reports indicate that there are misgivings over the lighting conditions at the Stadium. Some CAF games are played at night.
FC Platinum are of the view that moving away from Mandava will be contrary to their ‘project’. A statement released by the club read as follows;
The purpose of the project in the first place was to put Zvishavane and the surrounding communities on the map by bringing top international football to the town.
Now we have qualified for the group stages and we will be hosting African football giants, it has always been our wish to host these games in Zvishavane for the benefit of the community.
