Following the suspension of the 530 Junior doctors, Government Medical Officers for the Mashonaland East Province have released a statement advising the government of their withdrawal of services with immediate effect.

TO: THE PROVINCIAL MEDICAL DIRECTOR MASHONALAND EAST PROVINCE

REF: WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICES BY ALL GMO’s IN MASHONALAND EAST PROVINCE
We wish to notify you of the resolution we have made as Government Medical Officers working in all hospitals across Mashonaland East province in light of the recent turn of events pertaining to the ongoing industrial action at the instigation of the Health Services Board.
As GMOs we are in full solidarity with all doctors who have continued on with the strike and as such we are withdrawing our services with immediate effect until the issues in question have been addressed, sincere, satisfactory and must importantly RESPECTFUL manner.
Any inconveniences caused are sincerely regretted.

Doctors who put money before patients life’s should be fired. There are many other ways to get their grievance heard whilst still caring for the sick.
So firing them then solves the problem?!! God is watching you guys. At least you are treated in SA
Then is firing them solving the problem. Only shows the we don’t care attitude. If they are treated here this problem could have been solved long back. They go elsewhere for their treatment wher doctors are well paid. Hospitals well equipped. Drugs readily available. We the ordinary we suffer and die with treatable diseases. Maybe we wait until 2023 when they want our vote.
