Grace Mugabe's Workers Go For Several Months Without Being Paid

Zimbabwe’s former First Lady, Grace Mugabe has reportedly failed to pay her farm workers for several months now. Mrs Mugabe used to leave in opulence and extravagance before former President Mugabe was forced to relinquish power by the military in November 2017.

The workers at the Mugabes’ farms are said to have gone three months without getting paid. It is ironic that the Mugabes own properties worth over $68 million in Zimbabwe and South Africa. The couple also travels several times a year to Singapore for medical treatment at a very high cost.

Farmer workers who spoke to the press said they were promised that they will be paid their December salaries next week. However, they are worried that they may never get the salaries they are owed for the past three months. The workers had this to say

We are worried about the last months, but we got a message we will be paid next week.
