Parliamentarians Can Criticise Motlanthe Commission Report- Justice Minister

Leader of government business in Parliament Ziyambi Ziyambi said parliamentarians are free to bring for debate in the National Assembly the report of the commission of inquiry into the August post election violence.

Ziyambi who is Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs said the report which was made public by President Mnangagwa yesterday, is a public document and there is no issue with parliament debating it. Ziyambi was responding to Mbizo constituency legislator Settlement Chikwinya who had requested that the National Assembly be allowed to bring into the house for debate the report. Said Ziyambi:

Indeed the report is in the public domain and it is within the rights of Parliament to discuss any document that is in the public domain, so we will consider it
