Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has been given the task of negotiating with the striking doctors. In a cabinet briefing held on Wednesday morning, the Minister of Information and Publicity Monica Mutsvangwa said
The cabinet was briefed by the minister of health of the striking junior doctors. The cabinet while noting the ongoing efforts to resolve the matter agreed that henceforth the engagement process is under the guidance of Hon. Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.
Doctors have been on strike since the beginning of December, demanding to be paid in foreign currency and that the government avail drugs in hospitals among other things.
