Reports from the United Kingdom suggests that English Premier League winners Leicester City have joined the race to sign Leyton Orient hotshot and Zimbabwean international striker Macauley Bonne.
Bonne, who plays in the National League is considered the ‘next Jamie Vardy’ for his exploits. The Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy was plucked from non-League club Fleetwood Town and went on to win the Premier League and play for England at the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.
The 23-year-old’s form is also said to have alerted the Foxes’ Premier League rivals, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Huddersfield Town, along with Championship quintet, Nottingham Forest, Norwich City, Sheffield United, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers.
His performances in England have caught the eye of Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa amid reports that he is close to regularising his travel documents so he can be available for selection in the last Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville.
It remains to be seen if the Warriors will be able to lure him after the acquired the services of Nottingham Forest Based defender Tendayi Darikwa. Brendon Joel Zibusiso Galloway of Everton is another England -based player on the Warriors’ radar.
