Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) and police have encouraged passengers to report negligent drivers to the nearest police camp to avoid unnecessary loss of life during the festive season.
TSCZ and the police launched a joint operation to educate drivers and alert passengers to report any errant drivers. ZRP Assistant Commissioner Clever Macheka said:
We call upon passengers to report any reckless drivers or suspected drunken drivers. We don’t want to continue losing life unnecessarily due to negligence. So this joint operation is targeting to educate both drivers and motorists to play a role to avoid road carnages.
