Harare Magistrate Hosea Mujaya dismissed former Cabinet Minister, Saviour Kasukuwere’s application for exception of charges being leveled against him.

Magistrate Mujaya dismissed Kasukuwere’s application on the basis that the State was on to something and it was only just for the matter to go to trial. Kasukuwere had applied for exception of charges on the basis that the charges against him do not constitute a criminal offence as he was ‘clearly’ carrying out his duties as a public official when he gave out land to the Former First Lady’s sister Shuvai Gumbochuma. Kasukuwere is facing four charges of criminal abuse of office.
