Johannes Ndanga Denounces Christians For Snubbing 'Korean Cult' Festival

Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) president, Bishop Johannes Ndanga was not happy with the Christian Community for avoiding the so-called “Peace and Family Festival” that was slated for Wednesday at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa was billed to officially open the event but did not turn up because of the small crowd. The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) and founder of Forward in Faith, Apostle Ezekiel Guti all dissuaded their members from participating. Ndanga expressed deep displeasure with the position taken by the churches. He said

This gathering is a peace gathering and not a church gathering. It is an inter-church gathering. Whether EFZ or ZCC have circulated anything or not, they are lost. Zimbabwe needs peace. These were never part of us, but, they are just another stakeholder whom we invited… The turnout was affected somehow by the response of other church leaders who urged their members not to attend, but, we also had transport challenges.

We, however, did not care much about the numbers but, we cared much about the launch and we have made it… Why is it that so many people are afraid of Dr Moon? What did she do that symbolises Satanism? Even if Dr Moon could be evil, Christians must come and cast evil out of her. We wrote to them (other churches) and they never responded. So what chickening out are they talking about?
