Chimurenga musician Thomas ‘Mukanya’ Mapfumo is expected back next month to perform in several cities and towns. Mukanya’s latest visit, the Peace Tour, will see him perform at Gweru Golf Club on December 7.
After the Gweru show, Mapfumo will perform in Bulawayo at the Large City Hall on December 8. A week later Mapfumo will perform at Pagomba Café in Beitbridge. On December 15, he will perform at Caravan Park in Masvingo. The Chimurenga musician will perform at Golden Peacock in Mutare on December 21 followed by Kadoma on December 22 at Odyssey. He will perform in Kariba on Christmas Day.
On December 28, a day before the Zambezi Lager Victoria Falls Carnival, Mapfumo will perform at Victoria Falls Primary School. He will wind up his tour with a performance at the Harare International Conference Centre on New Year’s Eve. Tickets can be purchased online at www.clicknpay.africa. Republic Entertainment through their spokesperson, Max Mugaba invited up-and-coming artistes who want to share the stage with Mapfumo to contact him.
