No Responsible Parent Throws Jiggies To A Child Who Is Burning The Village, Charamba Tells Chamisa

Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet and Presidential Spokesperson George Charamba has warned MDC president Nelson Chamisa that he would soon be prosecuted. Charamba said Chamisa has to show maturity and responsibility and accept the outcome of the July 30 polls for him to be taken seriously. He said

Essentially, that is what he is saying, to say ‘your voting is useless, I have my own ways which is above the ballot and which is above the people’. And if he thinks there is an irresponsible parent who throws jiggies to a child who is burning the village, sorry hake.

We want to establish the facts and soon after the facts have been established, prosecutorial action will be taken because we have lost lives. But more critically, we will have more elections for as long as this country lives as a democratic proposition. If we don’t send a clear signal that you don’t dabble in violence and trivialise life, it will mean that this thing will continue haunting us. It’s a very serious matter.

  1. Zanu Pf and Pf Zapu went to war because of an injustice that was there in Rhodesia. Now there is another injustice which needs to be dealt with. Elections have been rigged at least twice because of a system that was put in place by the powers that be. Now the people have to show displeasure in the system. Other countries have changed leaders because of petty issues yet ours is a very serious situation which requires leadership change but has not. Who said fighting in a liberation war is a guarantee to ruling forever, cheating in every election? Democracy has failed Zimbabwe as a nation, it may be working for other countries but certainly not in ours. Its a pity our heroes have since turned themselves to zeros because of their domestic and foreign policies. Any way, lets have a rotation of leadership from the biggest parties to solve the problem in our country. Elections have proved to be a waste of time and money. We have a country to build than what is going on in the political divide.
