Tongaat Hullet Pledges To Bankroll Triangle's Confed Cup Campaign

Tongaat Hulett has given their full support to Triangle FC as it tries to conquer Africa in the Confederations Cup campaign next year. Triangle won the Chibuku Super Cup on Saturday by beating Harare City FC. The African Confederation Cup is CAF’s second tier inter-club competition below the CAF Champions League. Tongaat Hullet corporate affairs and communications manager Adalaide Chikunguru, who is also Triangle FC’s president said

The plans are to take the team into Africa. They have represented the Tongaat Hulett brand very well and Tongaat being a regional company, we want to provide our players with a chance to play continental football. Most of the guys in the team are from the Lowveld; our best player Lameck Nhamo is from Triangle and this gives our community a great sense of pride. It will be great for the club to play in such big tournaments like the Confederation Cup.
