MDC Alliance Threatens Bulawayo Deputy Mayoral Claimant With Expulsion

MDC Alliance sent its chief of staff Sesil Zvidzai to Bulawayo on Friday to deal with confusion around the election of deputy mayor. This followed Tinashe Kambarami’s election, resignation and re-election as deputy mayor of Bulawayo City in the past few weeks. MDC Alliance’s initially preferred candidate for the post was Mlandu Ndlovu. Ndlovu has now rejected Kambarami’s re-election. However, Zvidzai warned Ndlovu to respect the party’s final decision on the issue. He said

I do understand Clr Ncube but he also has to realise the processes that have been done as a party.
