Tell Donald Trump To Remove Sanctions: Masvingo Chief Pleads With US Ambassador

Chief Murinye (Mr Ephias Munodawafa), who is one of Masvingo’s prominent chiefs asked US Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Brian Nichols to appeal to Donald Trump to lift sanctions on Zimbabwe.

Chief Murinye made the plea while giving a vote of thanks at the end of a signing ceremony for US$475 000 availed by the US government through the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) at Great Zimbabwe Monuments. Said Chief Murinye:

My message to you (Ambassador Nichols) is that please tell the great American President (Mr Donald) Trump to lift sanctions on Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is reeling from those sanctions. Tell him to have mercy on us and lift the sanctions.
