Rusape Bus Accident: Fresh Details Emerge

Rusape General Hospital has this morning been inundated as people visited to identify their missing relatives. Fresh details have since emerged on the number of fatalities from the crash. It has been clarified that last night the figure of those who had died stood at 45, and not 47 as had been reported.

According to a ZBC News report, 40 people died on the spot, 5 died on their way to hospital last night, while 2 more passed on this morning, bringing the death toll to 47. It has also been clarified that the accident did not result from a head-on collision as reported earlier but that the two buses sideswiped.
