The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) is seeking to evict about 223 banana farmers from their land in Chimanimani district in Manicaland province. The farmers have remained defiant and to that end filed an urgent High Court application through their lawyers to block their eviction without a court order. The farmers claim that their eviction will result in loss of their livelihood and homelessness.
