A group of Congolese immigrants was intercepted and arrested by police along the Victoria Falls-Bulawayo road. The Congolese group which claimed to have been on its way to Tongogara refugee camp was arrested after police received a tip-off. They were brought before Hwange provincial magistrate, Livard Philemon and charged with violating immigration laws. They were each fined $50 or one month in prison while waiting for deportation.
