FC Platinum On The Verge Of Winning Title Twice In A Row

FC Platinum could rewrite the history books this afternoon by becoming the first team outside Bulawayo or Harare to win two league titles in a row. They face local rivals Shabanie Mine FC today in the Zvishavane derby. If FC Platinum win the match today at Maglas Stadium, they will win the league even if Ngezi, who are second, win all their remaining three matches. However, FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza has urged players and fans not to get ahead of themselves by celebrating winning the title prematurely. Mapeza said

We are at a very crucial stage of the season. Like I said before, we have to push hard to grind out a result for us to stay within range of our set objectives. We can only talk of winning the league title after playing our last game of the season… As for now, it is still work in progress. No need to rush into celebrations because in football anything is possible. We have to keep the same mentality and attitude until the season ends, then we can start talking about a party.
