Approved Importers No Longer Required To Pay Duty For Live Birds, Specialised Bird Feed

Government has suspended duty on live birds and specialised bird feed imported by approved importers.

The declaration was made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development  in the Customs and Excise (suspension) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (No 200). According to the SI an importer cannot import feed exceeding 9 000 kilogrammes per quarter.
