Mangudya’s Tenure As RBZ Governor To Be Extended: Charamba

The RBZ Governor, John Mandudya’s tenure is set to be extended. This follows reports on social media that he has been sacked or was about to be fired. There has been speculation in the past few days that Mangudya was to be replaced at the apex bank by Andrew Bvumbe who recently left his post as an executive director with the World Bank. Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet (Presidential Communications), Gorge Charamba said

The President is very clear on the Reserve Bank Governor’s tenure and his performance. Not only is he there to stay but the President is about to renew his contract for a second tenure.
