Vice President Constantino Chiwenga made his first public appearance since returning from South Africa where he received medical treatment.
Chiwenga attended a thanksgiving mass at his homestead in Chigondo area in Wedza. The thanksgiving mass was conducted by Father Willie Muzondiwa of the Mt. St. Marys Parish and Father Riberio from Highfield, Harare. Speaking to people who had gathered at his homestead for the mass, Chiwenga said people should not use the name of God to insult others. Said Chiwenga:
There are some who are calling themselves prophets. There is one called Talent Muzuva. Let it end today. It has ended here today. We don’t have a culture where someone moves around insulting seniors under the guise of worshipping God. God does not send you to insult others.
Apostle Talent Chiwenga came to prominence after a series of pre-elections predictions where he claimed the election would be rigged and that a number of senior officials linked to the November 2017 coup would die in quick succession.
