Since the uncertainties about the economy started a few weeks back, cooking oil seems to have become scarce. There are serious shortages of cooking oil and shops have resorted to rationing the product whenever they receive stocks. The images and videos below show people trying to buy cooking oil at the official prices which are in some cases 25 percent of the prices on the black market. Lately, the police had had to be deployed in order to ensure that there is order when shops have stocks of cooking oil.
