Professor Paul Mavima Representing Zimbabwe At The SADC Nutrition Forum

Professor Paul Mavima who is the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education is representing Zimbabwe at the forum on early childhood nutrition in Southern Africa being hosted by Lesotho at the Thaba Bosiu Conference Centre in Maseru.
Zimbabwe also joins other SADC countries present at the Forum. Among the delegation representing Zimbabwe is Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care Dr John Mangwiro and Deputy Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Lovemore Matuke. The forum strives to formulate determined efforts to deal with the problem of child malnutrition in the region where it is estimated that about thirty percent of children under the age five are stunted as a result of severe malnutrition.
The Forum which is running under the theme Investing in Healthy Children for Healthy Countries is being funded by the World Bank and UNICEF
