Tendai Biti has written a book titled ‘Democracy Works’ which will be coming out in the next few months.
Posting the cover of the book on his Twitter account, Biti said:
In our new book coming out in the next few months we restate the case for democracy &argue that there is no sustainable alternative it. We make the case empirically of the strong connection between democracy & sustainable economic growth.We make the case for change in Africa”
In an age of cynicism they are many who now argue that democracy has failed in Africa&failed Africa.The push is now for the Beijing Consensus,a model where democracy is sacrificed to the alter of performance legitimacy.Singapore , Rwanda&Ethiopia now hailed as successful models
