Sekuru Banda Urges Zimbabweans To Promote Cultural Tourism

Sekuru Banda has urged Zimbabweans and the Government in particular to promote cultural tourism.Sekuru Banda made this clarion call whilst visiting the All Africa Village which is run by The Dzimbanhete Arts Cultural Trust at Nharira Hills ,Sommerby farm outside Harare.

Sekuru Banda also called on Zimbabweans to respect cultural places as they play a significant role in the country’s past and future.He urged the Ministry of tourism to prioritize cultural tourism,as it has the potential to contribute to the growth of the tourism sector.

Said Banda:

Zimbabwe is a country with a rich and diverse culture.Cultural tourism is important for various reasons; it has a positive economic and social impact for Zimbabwe as  it establishes and reinforces identity and  helps us  build  our image, it helps preserve the cultural and historical heritage within our borders , with culture as an instrument it facilitates harmony and understanding among people .The government Open for business call should also encompass the opening up of our cultural heritage and its spread through diplomatic cultural export
