The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education has said that his ministry is working flat out to make sure that pupils from Glen View Primary school who missed class because lesson had been suspended over fears of the Cholera outbreak are not affected by the temporary closure of the school.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Sylvia Utete- Masango slammed the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Association for calling for the closure of schools until the cholera outbreak is curbed.
Said Masango:
I was shocked to learn about the association’s call for schools to be closed .It is not their mandate but government’s responsibility.Government knows what it is doing and lets go by what the government says and not other people’s wishes.
